Education/Student Events Committee
The Education/Student Events Committee creates initiatives for design students that develop skills and build careers. "Spill Your Guts" presents an opportunity to ask a select panel of designers questions about finding design work, preparing a portfolio and succeeding in an interview. "Reality Check" is a student portfolio review event that provides students with professional feedback in a non-threatening environment. The "Trapeze Awards" is a competition in which student portfolios are judged on content and presentation. The Events Committee has its own faculty and student representatives from local area schools.

Membership Committee
Our diverse and creative membership creates a dynamic environment for professional growth. We work to strengthen relationships between existing members and develop connections with new and prospective members. Through the efforts of volunteers, we host a number of events to promote membership activity, stimulate volunteer involvement and create member support materials like this website.

PR Committee
AIGA Seattle does so much, with such frequency, and yet there's always room for greater awareness in the already-clustered public mind. The responsibility of the PR committee is to get the word out. Our strategy has two major priorities; 1) Publicize specific events and 2) Publicize the work and value of the AIGA, especially the Seattle Chapter. We are averaging at least one major event a month in addition to our on-going educational programs. We want people to know about AIGA, benefit from AIGA and get involved with AIGA.

Sponsorship Committee
AIGA Seattle relies on the generosity of sponsors to create events and programs that benefit our members and enrich our community. The Sponsorship Committee cultivates relationships with organizations and individuals to obtain goods, services and funding for all events and programs. We maintain a database that tracks our sources of support throughout the year. The Sponsorship Committee also keeps our partners informed about AIGA activities, and ensures that they have valuable opportunities to promote their goods and services.
